Vampire the Masquerade

Political maneuvering, social intrigue and personal horror in a real world setting, that’s Vampire the Masquerade.

You play as a vampire, new or old, trying to survive in the world of darkness. And this world is dark. You may think being a vampire is fun, but between your inner beast always trying to win over your humanity, the complicated politics of vampire society, and the hunters and monsters always out to get you, being immortal doesn’t mean you’ll live long. You and your coterie will face many dangers here.

This game can be very roleplay heavy. It is more about story than about winning.

Vampire the masquerade is part of the World of Darkness, an expansive and evolving universe of vampires, werewolves, hunters, and more.

While the current 5th edition is set in modern times, older editions let you play for example in the dark ages. The world of darkness is full of opportunities for you.

To play, you’ll need the core rulebook, and a set of specialized ten sided dice. You can find rules for using normal ten sided dice online, if you don’t mind the extra math.
